Lebanon Community School Corporation celebrated the opening of the Lebanon High School Football Field and Track on August 21, 2020.
As part of the 2020 capital improvement projects, the existing football field was replaced with synthetic turf. The new multi-purpose field will be used by students in grades 6-12, in physical education, by athletic teams, and the marching band. The project also included the addition of a pole vault to the track and field, which will allow LHS to host track and field contests. As part of the project, the stadium also received upgraded lighting and electrical service, and a new scoreboard and play clocks.
To commemorate the first contest to be held on the new field, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held prior to the first varsity football game of the 2020-21 school year.
The Lebanon High School Athletic Department would like to thank LCSC Superintendent Dr. Jon Milleman, Assistant Superintendent Charles Tait, and the LCSC Board of Trustees for making this project possible.
