Lebanon High School Senior Places 6th at National FFA Convention
Lebanon High School (LHS) senior Lauren Argotte has achieved national recognition, placing 6th in the Agriscience Social Systems Division 5 at the prestigious 97th National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis. The National FFA Agriscience Fair is a highlight of the annual FFA Convention & Expo, showcasing students from across the country who conduct impactful research within the agricultural industry.
The National FFA Convention brought together students competing in various career development events like Environment and Natural Resources, Forestry, Agronomy, Livestock Evaluation, and Parliamentary Procedure. Leadership development events included Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Agricultural Issues Forum, and Creed Speaking. In addition, the National FFA Agriscience Fair featured student research in six major categories, including social science, where Lauren excelled.
Lauren’s journey at the convention was a whirlwind. After an interview with WRTV, she presented her research on stage at the Agriscience Fair and the Student Showcase, culminating in her recognition during the convention’s Second General Session. Her 6th-place national finish reflects her hard work, dedication, and the support of her school community.
LHS Principal Mr. Frank Meyer and Assistant Principal Mrs. Kristen Scott traveled to Indianapolis during Fall Break to surprise Lauren, showing their commitment to the achievements of LHS students and the FFA chapter.
Congratulations to Lauren Argotte for her outstanding accomplishment, bringing pride to Lebanon High School and Lebanon Community School Corporation!
