Frank Meyer Named Principal of Lebanon High School

Lebanon Community School Corporation is proud to announce that Mr. Frank Meyer has been selected as the new principal of Lebanon High School. The LCSC Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Meyer at their regular meeting on May 16.

Meyer most recently served as principal of Tecumseh Junior High School in Lafayette. Before moving to Lafayette, he served thirteen years as an assistant principal and five years as an English teacher at Avon High School. Meyer’s career prior to education was in the field of communications where he primarily worked in television and print media as a researcher.

Meyer earned his Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a Master of Education Administration and Leadership from Ball State University, and was awarded the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship to earn a Master of Business Administration in Education degree from the University of Indianapolis.

Meyer oversaw programs that focused on the transition of 8th grade students into high school and freshmen high school success, as well as programs for high school seniors that provided dual credit, career engagement, and their transition to post-secondary opportunities. He has successfully improved student achievement across a diverse set of student profiles and values the relationships built with teachers and students to make those successes possible.

Superintendent Dr. Jon Milleman is pleased to welcome Meyer to Lebanon Community School Corporation. “Mr. Meyer will lean on his broad range of experiences to improve on our already strong programming at LHS. Milleman told the LCSC Board of Trustees, adding, “We are very excited for Mr. Meyer to officially join our team of dedicated and talented school leaders.”

Meyer has been married to Megan, a physical therapist, for 27 years; they have two children, Owen, 22, a graduate of DePauw University, and Eliza, 18, a sophomore at Indiana University. Meyer enjoys camping and hiking, traveling, reading, and following the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues.

Meyer is eager to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff in the Lebanon High School (LHS) community. Frank Meyer, Bill Gee, and Michael Reynolds will make up the leadership team at Lebanon High School.

LHS students and families can meet Mr. Meyer on Thursday, June 8 from 5-8 p.m. in the LHS Cafeteria.
