LCSC Welcomes Kobe Burtron as New School Board Member
Lebanon Community School Corporation (LCSC) announces the addition of Kobe Burtron to the LCSC School Board, succeeding past board member Tiffany Jones. The school board unanimously approved Burtron's appointment as the Perry Township Representative, filling the vacancy created by Jones' resignation after relocating outside the LCSC school district boundaries.
Burtron, a lifelong resident of Lebanon and proud alumni of Lebanon Community Schools, brings a deep commitment to the well-being and success of the community and its educational institutions.
Kobe Burtron was born and raised in Lebanon, Indiana, by his parents Michael and Krista Burtron, alongside his younger brother, Carson. He attended Lebanon Community Schools throughout his K-12 education and graduated from Lebanon High School in 2018. Pursuing higher education at Purdue University, Burtron earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2022. Following his graduation, he joined Eli Lilly and Company as a Pricing, Reimbursement, and Market Access Associate in Indianapolis, where he currently works.
In September 2022, Burtron became engaged to his fiancée, Sydney Peterson. They recently purchased a home in Whitestown and are excited to begin this new chapter in their lives, remaining close to their roots in Lebanon.
Burtron's commitment to community engagement is evident through his active participation in various leadership roles within his organization and past educational institutions, where he honed his skills in decision-making, collaboration, and strategic planning. His volunteer work across multiple organizations further underscores his dedication to serving the community.
"The prospect of serving on the school board holds particular significance for me," Burtron shared. "As a former student of Lebanon Community Schools, I experienced firsthand the impact of the decisions made by the board. I am eager to contribute my insights and past experiences to ensure that current and future students receive the best possible education and public-school experience. Additionally, as a new resident of Whitestown, I am enthusiastic about fostering a culture of community and representation within our school community and the town of Whitestown."
