LCSC Welcomes Mrs. Lauren Huff as Assistant Principal at Lebanon Middle School
Lebanon Community School Corporation (LCSC) is excited to announce the addition of Mrs. Lauren Huff as the new Assistant Principal at Lebanon Middle School (LMS). The LCSC Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Huff at their recent school board meeting on June 17, 2024.
Lauren Huff is no stranger to Lebanon Community Schools, having attended and graduated from the district herself. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in math from IUPUI and later earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership Administration and Supervision from Western Governors University.
Before joining Lebanon Middle School three years ago as a 6th-grade science teacher, Huff taught 1st and 2nd grades at Thorntown Elementary. At LMS, she quickly became involved in leadership roles, contributing to several Professional Learning Communities.
In her personal time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband Steven and their two sons, Lawson (5) and Burton (3). The Huff family loves camping during the summer and looks forward to their annual trips to Disney World. Lauren also enjoys gardening, reading, and watching Colts games with her husband during the fall and winter seasons.
“As the new assistant principal at LMS, I am committed to empowering our educational community by cultivating strong relationships and fostering an environment of collaboration and trust,” said Lauren Huff. “My student-centered approach, combined with high expectations, will drive my efforts in working with both students and staff to ensure a supportive and thriving educational experience for all.”
LMS Principal Doyle Dunshee expressed his enthusiasm for Huff’s new role: “Lauren will bring to the admin team the excellent work ethic and passion for student achievement that she has demonstrated in the classroom here at LMS. Her energy and enthusiasm for learning will be the hallmark of her new beginning as an Assistant Principal. She cares for students and wants to connect with families to foster an environment of success and collaboration. We have hit the ground running, and Lauren is blending in seamlessly with the team to move us forward to A NEW BEST at LMS.”
The leadership team at Lebanon Middle School now includes Principal Doyle Dunshee and Assistant Principals Mark Butler, Jim McCune, and Lauren Huff. Together, they are dedicated to creating a supportive and dynamic educational environment for all students and staff.
