Gwen Bell Named Assistant Principal of Central Elementary

Lebanon Community School Corporation is proud to announce that Mrs. Gwen Bell has been selected as the new Assistant Principal of Central Elementary. The LCSC Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Bell at their regular meeting on May 16.

Gwen joins Central Elementary from Noblesville East Middle School where she was dean of students for the last four years overseeing student services, restorative discipline practices, social-emotional learning, and schoolwide interventions and support. Before her administrative role in Noblesville, Gwen served in Carmel Clay Schools for nine years as a school improvement chair, team leader, and visual arts teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in education at Indiana University (IUPUI) and her master’s in educational administration at Butler University.

“I have such a passion for learning and building up children. I feel honored to do this work alongside such an outstanding staff at Central,” said Bell.

As a new Boone County resident, you might find Gwen on her front porch, enjoying a good book with her chickens nearby. She is thrilled to begin serving students and families in her community. Her husband and 8-month-old son are looking forward to joining the Lebanon School family too!

Superintendent Dr. Jon Milleman states, “Mrs. Bell’s enthusiasm and energy will be immediately apparent to our Central Elementary staff, students, and parents. Mrs. Bell brings a variety of experiences to LCSC ranging from student support programming, academic coaching, and classroom teaching experience. We are excited for our school community to meet and welcome her.”

McKenzie Leckrone, Principal, and Gwen Bell will make up the leadership team at Central Elementary.
