The LHS Academic Super Bowl Team competed at the Sagamore Conference Academic Meet and walked away as 2023 Champions!
The Academic Super Bowl is a Hoosier contest where teams of students enhance their research and study skills by delving into topics which change annually, taking them beyond what is usually covered in the classroom.
Students have a list of topics that adhere to the theme, this year's theme being The Age of Exploration.
This year, five teams competed at the Sagamore Super Bowl and LHS finished first or second in all subject areas.
"The students were excited about winning and are highly motivated to continue studying for the next competition," said Kendra Whipkey, one of the LHS Academic Super Bowl Coaches and World Language Teacher.
Individual team placings are as followed:
1st place: Fine Arts Team

2nd place: Social Studies Team
