Lebanon Community School Corporation is proud to announce that Zach Dennis has been selected as the district’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As CFO, Zach will be responsible for all business and finance functions of the district, as well as oversee operations of the schools’ physical plants, including transportation, buildings and grounds, and maintenance.

Dr. Jon Milleman, Superintendent of Schools, cites experience and enthusiasm as qualities that set Zach apart. “He is a skilled administrator and teacher who takes a people-first approach to leadership,” Milleman stated, adding, “I am proud to welcome him to our team.”

Zach comes to LCSC from the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township, where he has served as Financial Operations Specialist since 2019. As Financial Operations Specialist, Zach was responsible for budget preparation, including tax rate management and cash flow projections, financial administration of construction and renovation, and support of operational departments. Previously, Zach was a high school chemistry teacher and coach. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Indianapolis. Zach is currently enrolled as a doctoral student at Ball State University, and anticipates earning a doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision in May 2025.

Zach describes himself as a motivated and driven school finance official with diverse experience in school operations. “I’m thrilled to begin at LCSC!” he stated, “There are exciting times ahead for the community with the construction of a fifth elementary and the revitalization of our current facilities to reflect our values and 21^stcentury initiatives that position our students for success beyond the classroom. I am honored to be a part of what is certain to be a bright future for the Lebanon community.”

Dr. Milleman will make his recommendation to the Board of Trustees at their regular meeting on June 21, 2022, and Zach’s first day with LCSC will be on July 1, 2022.
