Stuart Anstead Named Director of Food Services
Lebanon Community School Corporation is excited to announce the hiring of Stuart Anstead as the new Director of Food Services. Mr. Anstead will be responsible for providing nutritious meals to students throughout Lebanon Community School Corporation.
Anstead grew up in the United Kingdom and has over 30 years of experience working within the hospitality industry, as well as being an educator. He attended culinary school in Essex, England and learned his trade as an intern in famous restaurants and hotels throughout London. As his career progressed, he obtained a degree in Secondary Education, which he used to help rebuild aging schools in the north of England and taught Culinary Arts within the schools he helped to improve.
More recently, Anstead spent the last six years as the Director of Food Services for a growing private school in Whitestown, IN. He has experience in implementing and building the National School Lunch Program, managing staff, and developing facilities.
Superintendent, Dr. Jon Milleman shares, “we are extremely excited to welcome Mr. Anstead to our LCSC team of administrators. His experiences in the world of child nutrition, the food and hospitality industry, his varied educational experiences, and his leadership approach will build on an already strong child nutrition team.”
Anstead is married with three children. After moving between the US and UK, he permanently moved to the United States eight years ago. He is excited to join LCSC and is eager to work with the food services team to provide healthy and delicious meals to students to ensure they have the fuel they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
The LCSC Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Anstead at their regular meeting on May 16.
