Some of the projects include, "Paint-Pals" with a local nursing home, centerpiece decorations for celebrations, large back-drops, making stuffed animals for first responders and much more. This club is only offered to Fourth-Grade students at Perry-Worth Elementary. Club meetings will be held on Friday mornings from 8:00-9:00. This club will start meeting the first week of October and run for the rest of the semester. We will likely continue the club after winter Break. Student's families will be sent information regarding signup through skyward. The club will meet in the art room before school; transportation is not provided for this club. There is a $10 fee to participate in this club to help offset supply costs. If there are any questions, please contact Mrs. Fasel, fasela@leb.k12.in.us .

Future Problem Solvers
Future Problem Solvers is a group of students that are given a hypothetical situation set in the future, typically 20 years. The students are given the task of identifying all the potential challenges associated with the situation. After coming up with a list of challenges, they will come up with one major underlying problem. Next they break that problem down and come up with solutions. Then the students create criteria rating the effectiveness of their solutions. Lastly, they create a course of action for implementing the solution. It is a six-step process that requires a lot of brainstorming, teamwork, and critical thinking. Students will complete two practice problems over the next six weeks and their results will be evaluated by judges from Future Problem Solvers International (FPSI). In mid-December, they will be assigned a qualifying problem that they will complete and submit to see if they make it to the state competition. Topics include international travel, sleep patterns, poverty, and gamification.

Student Services
Student Services is a group that works to make our school and local communities better. It is composed of a small group of fifth grade students. To become involved, students are required to write an essay discussing the reasons they would make a good Student Service member. When choosing the students, the essay as well as student leadership qualities, responsibility, and study habits were considered. The group is sponsored by Ms. Betsy Dulhanty, and they meet every other Monday during their lunch. Some projects they sponsor include the coat drive, food drive, toy drive, kindness week, shoe drive, and Buddy Bench promotion. They could not do what they do without the generosity of the Perry-Worth families and staff.
