Preschool Access Fund

Lebanon Community School Corporation believes that high-quality preschool should be accessible to families across our community. As part of this commitment, LCSC is intentionally using voter approved Operating Referendum dollars in developing our new Tiger Cubs Pre-K program and to help reduce financial barriers for families and expand access to the Tiger Cubs Pre-K.
LCSC has made a significant investment in early childhood education by committing approximately $14,000,000 to renovate the former Central Elementary building to include space purposefully designed for preschool learners. This renovated facility supports best practices in early learning and provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where young children can grow and thrive.
In addition to this capital investment, the Operating Referendum provides approximately $600,000 annually to support Tiger Cubs Pre-K programming at both the main campus and at Perry-Worth Elementary. These referendum-funded dollars cover many of the core costs that would otherwise be passed on to families including curriculum and instructional materials, utilities, insurance, maintenance, nursing services, security, and several essential staffing positions. This ongoing support allows LCSC to significantly reduce the overall cost of preschool for participating families.
To further strengthen and expand access and ensure sustainability, Lebanon Educational Foundation and LCSC have established the Preschool Access Fund. The Preschool Access Fund is a dedicated, restricted fund established by the Lebanon Educational Foundation as a dedicated fundraising initiative. This fund is designed to complement referendum dollars by expanding tuition assistance and supporting future families affordable access to quality preschool. While referendum funding allows the district to immediately reduce costs and offer scholarships, the Preschool Access Fund helps build long-term capacity to meet growing needs over time. This fund will be managed by Lebanon Educational Foundation in partnership with LCSC administration to ensure resources are directed where they are needed most.

The funding goal of the Preschool Access Fund is $5,000,000.
The $5,000,000 endowed Preschool Access fund will ensure the Lebanon Educational Foundation and Lebanon Community School Corporation are able to maintain a sustainable scholarship fund that supports families year after year and preserves access to Tiger Cubs Pre-K well into the future by:
- Generating annual scholarship support for decades to come.
- Stabilizing tuition assistance year-to-year.
- Protecting preschool access during economic downturns or shifts in government funding policies.
- Scale scholarships as enrollment grows and financial needs change in our community.
Every dollar donated will help ensure every child has the opportunity every day to reach their new best as a part of the Tiger Cubs Pre-K.
