Assessment
Lebanon Community School Corporation uses a number of assessments and screening tools to support instruction and student learning.
Dyslexia Screening
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that affects areas of the brain that process language. In accordance with Indiana Code 20-35.5, all schools administer a universal screener for learning characteristics related to dyslexia within the first 90 days of school.
At-Risk Students
Parents of students who are determined to be at risk of learning characteristics related to dyslexia will be notified of the results and provided with next steps of intervention.
Intervention Programs
LCSC uses the following intervention programs:
- MindPlay
- Orton-Gillingham
- Touch Phonics
- SLANT
- Intensive Phonological Awareness
