Dr. Janet Dye

Dr. Janet Dye became principal at Harney in 2006.  Previously, Dr. Dye was an Assistant Principal for Grades K-6 in the MSD of Wayne Township.  She started her career in teaching in 1991 for Indianapolis Public Schools and MSD of Pike Township and has taught all grades 1-5.

Dr. Dye is a lifelong learner. She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education form IU; her M.S. in Administration from Butler; and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Purdue. In her leadership at Harney, Dr. Dye has brought energy, dedication and passion for her staff, students, and community.

Harney Elementary is a school filled with dynamic people. Since the inception of the State of Indiana grading system, Harney Elementary has worked hard to grow students and thereby receiving an A rating consistently over the years. Dr. Dye is a member to many community and state memberships that keep her involved in school leadership. She was honored in 2013 as the Indiana Association of School Principals Principal of the Year.

Dr. Dye enjoys time with her husband, 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

Mrs. Pam Davis

Mrs. Davis joined the Harney team in 2012 as Assistant Principal after serving several years at Hattie B Stokes as Assistant Principal. Prior to her role in administration she served the Lebanon Community School Corporation as a Science teacher at Lebanon Middle School. Mrs. Davis works diligently each day to ensure Harney students enjoy a safe and positive school environment for learning and growing as young citizens. She is responsible for a variety of programs within the school culture and was named 2016 Assistant Principal of the Year for Indiana Association of School Principals District 5. Mrs. Davis enjoys reading, music and sporting events as well as time with her family.
