PBIS at LMS
Posted by James McCune on 5/9/2017The goal of Positive Behavior Incentives and Supports (PBIS) is to be proactive in helping each student be successful with academics and behavior and to create communication between home and school. Through PBIS, students earn rewards and are able to monitor their academic and behavior performance. Students have the opportunity to earn weekly, monthly, and quarterly rewards individually and within their classrooms and teams by demonstrating the LMS behavior expectations. Individual students can earn Tiger tickets, which go into a monthly drawing for prizes or can be used to purchase various incentives. Individual students can also earn the right to attend an end-of-the-quarter celebration by having zero missing assignments and/or zero discipline levels.

Student Lounge
Posted by James McCune on 5/9/2017Beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, students were able to earn their way into the new Student Lounge. Students can earn their way into the Student Lounge by paying their way in using Tiger Tickets, having a Black and Gold Card, or as a class reward. Within the Student Lounge, students have access to various board games, ping pong, air hockey, Fussball, TV, and Xbox Live. The Student Lounge is staff by parents who volunteer to come in during lunch to supervise the students while they eat and relax. Volunteers are always needed! Please click on the link to volunteer your time and help rewards those LMS students who are doing the right thing.
